Unlike traditional flat Ledwalls, a curved Ledwall is a digital display composed of modules arranged to create a non-linear surface. The curvatures can be concave to form a panoramic and enveloping screen or convex where the edges of the screen move away from the viewer.
The ability to create curved screens is now integrated into almost all Led models, so much so that assembling a flat or curved Ledwall, generally and except for particular cases, today presents no substantial complications.
Concretely, to assemble a curved Ledwall, a mechanism integrated into the Led panels is used. This can be adjusted to different angles (normally in steps of 3 or 5 degrees) and fixed with the same mounting mechanisms used for flat assembly. In practice, the curve is built by angling the panels, which nevertheless remain flat.
Two different mechanisms for angling Led panels
The resulting curve is not perfectly continuous but composed of flat segments of 50 centimeters each. This normally does not pose a problem because the continuity of the image makes the viewer perceive the curvature as homogeneous. The mechanisms just described are very reliable, do not weaken the panel's mechanics, and allow a lot of flexibility, so much so that it is possible to modulate both concave and convex curves even on the same screen.
Recently, different and more sophisticated curvature solutions have begun to enter the market. Some manufacturers offer Led panels divided internally into segments and thus capable of creating perfectly continuous curvatures. As seen in the photos, the panel is divided into smaller vertical modules, joined together with a hinge system. The visual result is very striking, especially when applied to large dimensions. At industry fairs, installations with perfect curvatures have been seen, even forming closed cylinders, some very large.

An example of a new generation bendable panel
While technically interesting, this solution presents some contraindications. Being divided into segments, the panels have a more complex, delicate, and subject to greater wear and tear mechanism. Installation is also a bit more complicated. Their limited diffusion is due to the fact that they are still considered special pieces.
An interesting trend that is gaining more traction is that of rounded corners, i.e., 90-degree corners but not sharp edges, instead made with a curved module.

The result is a 90-degree corner, without a sharp edge, very elegant and certainly destined to have its place in the most demanding setups. Currently, the types of Ledwalls that offer this option are high-end or with high pixel pitch, therefore aimed at the most sophisticated segment of the market.
